Satsang literally means ‘association with the wise’. Meditating together in a group creates a strong spiritual atmosphere which allows a deeper experience of meditation. In satsang, people of different levels practise together – from newcomers to experienced yoga teachers.

Group Meditation & Satsang
Satsang starts with half an hour of silent meditation followed by devotional chanting and an informal talk on the practical philosophy of Yoga and Vedanta. This is an opportunity to share from the infinite wisdom of our Masters, Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda, through their books and other writings. Kirtan (chanting) books are provided to help you follow and participate in the chanting.

At our Satsang you also get to meet visiting Acharyas and other senior staff of the organisation, and listen to their compelling stories from many years of experience. We finish the evening with Arati and the sharing of prasad.
